Fruit Diet


The modern diet is primary comprised of refined foods easy to cook, heavy cholesterol content foods, deep fried, and flesh among others.  With the much nutritional benefits gained from these foods, a host of other unwanted elements also come along and are retained in the body which results to diseases that can be avoided.  A fruit diet is the perfect remedy for this situation.

A fruit diet involves an intake of fruits only for a short period of time. This could be a day in a week, three days in a month or several days spread over the year. The fruit diet relieves the digestive system of its heavy duty, burns out excessive fat and cholesterol, and rejuvenates the skin to a glowing one, supplements healing of ailments among many other benefits.  In summary the fruit diet is meant to cleanse, detoxify and facilitate weight loss.

The body derives energy, vitamins, and minerals from the fruit diet. They clean out toxins and help to eliminate excess mucus and thus can be relieving to colds, respiratory and lung related ailments.

Before getting on a fruit diet; I would recommend the following.  Read widely on fruit diets.  This knowledge will help you get prepared for the diet; the ideal period of time to have the diet, the kinds of fruits to take for the diet and generally get excited about the diet.

To help you built synergies for the whole fruit diet period, take as much fruit in the first day as you can. They are tasty and will help you come along with the cravings and hunger. For each of the fruit diet days, take energy rich fruits in the morning like bananas, mangos or grapes. This will elevate your body metabolism for the day and burning of fat in the body. With the morning taken care of, you can have snacks at intervals of 2 hours and just in case you feel hungry at night, you may need to take some fruit before sleeping.

The fruit diet is one of the simplest diets that one can undertake.  Most fruits are readily available in markets and especially those which are in season, are cheap and readily available.  With the health concern for organic foods, you can be assured of fruits free of chemicals if you are keen on identifying the good ones.

You will need to take care of your oral hygiene carefully every time you are undergoing a fruit diet. This is because of the toxins released when cleansing the body; they result into a foul smell in the mouth.  You may also not be able to have the fruit diet for longer periods of time as it may become detrimental to your health. For prolonged side effects, seek medical advice.
